Eden Supportive Living's Skills Enhancement Program

Eden Supportive Living is an Illinois-based housing community that has been specially designed to serve individuals ages 22 and above who live with a variety of disabilities. Eden Supportive Living provides residents with a number of services and accommodations to improve their quality of living while also hosting activities such as the skills enhancement program.

Introduced in March of 2017, the skills enhancement program at Eden Supportive Living is designed to provide residents with opportunities to acquire new life skills and to refine skills they may have been previously working on. The program is managed by students from the nearby Parkland Occupational Therapy Program and takes place every Thursday night at Eden Champaign.

Some of the subjects discussed each week include how and why to engage in regular physical exercise, cooking with a crockpot, and the best ways to resolve a conflict with another person, as well as other topics that can help residents navigate their day to day lives. More information on the new skills enhancement program can be found at www.edenslf.com.
